Houlton Rotarian Bob Ellis, Dr. Will Richard and Houlton Rotarian Torrey Sylvester are pictured here with Will’s book “Maine to Greenland, Exploring the Maritime Far Northeast” which is published by Smithsonian Books. Dr. Richard is a research collaborator with the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center and holds a PhD in geography. He is also a Maine Guide. Will fascinated the Houlton Rotary on September 29th’s luncheon meeting with the story of the trail and showed wonderful photos of his journeys on the trail from Maine to Greenland, Iceland and onto Europe.
