In this photo from left to right are Erik Urbanek of the Urbanek real estate brokerage firm in Portland, Maine with his part-time partner Andrew Sturgeon enlightened the Houlton Rotary Club on April 10, 2017 about the marketing of the Houlton Tourist Information Center. Urbanek graduated from Houlton High School and his mother Ginny Urbanek still lives in Houlton and is the priest at the Episcopal Church where the Rotary club meets. Urbanek lives in Portland with his wife and four children. Sturgeon grew up in Lincoln, Maine and now lives in Yarmouth with his family.

The Town of Houlton hired Urbanek to sell the eight acre property with the building in the effort to put the property back on the tax rolls. The only hitch to the buyer is that the Town would like nine hundred square feet to continue as the Tourist Information Center. The Town has a Governor’s Deed for the parcel. As Erik said there are many attractive pieces to the location of the parcel and the information center could be a draw to the property. Some of his ideas were the development of a restaurant and or lodging with its proximity to the highway and Route 1. Urbanek can be reached at831-4364 and erik.urbanek@svn.com.
